Edie Dial

Edie is currently on year 20 of her employment as a Legal Secretary with the Burnside Firm. Edie came to the firm to work as a Legal Secretary with Judge M. Don Sheafor, previously a partner, from the law firm of Sheafor and Day in her hometown of St. Elmo. In the late 90's Edie's work branched from preparing Small Claims, to drafting Criminal Pleadings and Discovery and assisting Judge Sheafor in Family Law. Edie currently assists all Attorneys in configuring child support, Probate and Real Estate work, as well as, Municipality Work. When Edie is at her home in St. Elmo she enjoys working in her flower garden, raising butterflies, and spending time with her 7 grandchildren.


Cristy Grames

Cristy primarily provides assistance to Attorney Connor and Attorney Jensen. She is responsible for preparing Small Claims, drafting Criminal Pleadings and Discovery, providing assistance in Family Law matters, and assisting in preparation for civil and criminal trials. Cristy has been employed as a Legal Secretary for the Firm for 13 years. She is currently a student at the University of Edwardsville majoring in Political Science with plans to further her education at the John Marshall Law School. Cristy currently resides in her hometown of St. Elmo where she enjoys playing the piano and painting.


Paige Todd

Paige began her work in May of 2016 in our Greenville Office. Prior to joining the team as a staff member, Paige completed an internship alongside Attorney Connor. She is responsible for providing assistance in both criminal and family law to Attorney Connor. Paige graduated from Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville in May of 2016 with a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice, Pre-Law, and Psychology. She plans to further her education at the St. Louis University Law School. During her free time Paige enjoys spending time with family and friends.


Channing Dial

Channing is responsible for transcribing all correspondence and pleadings from Attorney Johnston. She also provides assistance in Probate, Real Estate, civil, corporate, and Municipality work. Channing has been employed with Burnside, Johnston, Connor & Jensen for 3 years, beginning as our Receptionist and now working for Jack Johnston as a Legal Secretary. She also manages all media sites and takes care of all online programming. Channing likes to spend her free time outdoors and with family.



Nancy is our newest employee at the firm. Nancy was hired on to oversee all incoming and outgoing accounts in both our Vandalia and Greenville Offices. Nancy answers phone calls to both offices, prepares invoices and is responsible for setting up appointments for all Attorneys. Outside of work, Nancy enjoys spending time with her family, including her 4 grandchildren.
